Shiva Chews
Shiva Chews are a modification of a traditional Indian sweet called “til ke laddu” which uses sesame and is prepared and shared during the kite flying festival called “Makara Sankranti”, a time of peace, abundance, joy, and enlightenment. As this festival takes place in the middle of winter, sesame (til) and jaggery are used to warm and energize. This preparation also resembles middle eastern halvah, with the addition of tonic herbs and superfoods.
